The 2018 Greenwich Food and Wine Festival will take place from Friday, Sept. 21st, to Saturday, Sept. 22nd. The two-day event will feature cooking demonstrations led by celebrity chefs, book signings, interviews and a Grand Tasting tent featuring the region’s best cuisine, wine, and spirits. The event takes place at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich, CT. Before you go, here is everything you need to know to make the most out of your time at the festival.
Opening Night Features a Dinner Held by Famous Chefs
The kick-off Master Chef dinner at this year’s event will be held from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and feature meals crafted by 18 award-winning chefs. In addition to live music from CCB Reggae All Stars, guests will witness the honoring of restauranteur Alex Guarnaschelli along with special guests Scott Conant and Adam Richman.
Tickets for the event cost $325 per person, and $75 of each individual sale will be donated to charity.
Tim McGraw is Headlining This Year
Country singer Tim McGraw will perform on Saturday, Sept. 22. at the Pepsi Stage in the Culinary Village.
The Best Event is the Grand Tasting Tent
The Culinary Village holds the event’s Grand Tasting tent, which boasts 150 vendors and gives guests the chance to indulge themselves in everything from Connecticut’s best burgers to BBQ, tacos and more.
You Can Meet Some of the Best Local Chefs
The Meet the Masters Panel is an open discussion that allows guests to interact with some of their favorite chefs attending the event. There will also be multiple opportunities to mingle throughout the weekend during Q&A sessions, book signings and live cooking demonstrations.
You Can Watch Live Contests
The seventh Annual Burger Battle and the fourth Annual Top Bartender Showdown will take place on Saturday the 22nd. Chef Adam Richman will host the Burger Battle while local mixologists will face off during the Bartender Showdown.
A Portion of Sales Go to Charity
A generous percentage of the festival’s revenue is donated to charitable organizations. Among this year’s recipients are Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, the Town of Greenwich Parks & Recreation Foundation and Ment’or.

There are a variety of packages to choose from ranging from general admission to VIP full-weekend passes. All ticket purchases include a tote bag, wine glass and one-year subscription to Serendipity.
